Port Melbourne Toy Library will host its largest fundraiser of the year with a BBQ at Bunnings Port Melbourne on Sunday June 5.
Grab a snag for a good cause while you stock up on supplies for the weekend house chores.
Funds will go towards buying new toys to benefit families in the Port Melbourne community.
The Port Melbourne Toy Library is a volunteer-run organisation with one part-time employee—who minds the toy library twice a week with the assistance of a volunteer.
Toy libraries are a great resource for families with a large range of toys to appeal to children at each stage of development from 3 months to 6 years.
Whether living in an apartment or house with limited storage space or simply for fun, kids can choose from costumes, musical instruments, puzzles, pirates ships, kitchens with miniature cookware, scooters, balance bikes and a teepee among the hundreds of items on offer.
The Port Melbourne Toy Library is situated in the Port Melbourne Town Hall at 333 Bay Street, it is open on Wednesdays from 10.30-12.30 and Saturdays from 10.30-11.30.
Toys are available to members for a two week loan. To join the toy library, members pay an annual fee or can nominate to volunteer twice a year for a reduced membership fee.
